As part of the Hanukkah Fánk n’ Funk program-series, we also celebrated Hanukkah in Kőszeg: on 19th of December the iASK in cooperation with the United Hungarian Israelite Congregation organised a Hanukkah candle-lighting ceremony in Jurisics Square, than Ernő Sebestyén violinist and his friends gave a concert in the renovated Synagogue of Kőszeg.
The book launch by the senior academic advisor of iASK took place on 5 December 2022 in front of a professional audience. The event was supported by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.

Among the recipients of this year’s Déry Award is Sarolta Deczki, a fellow of the Agota Kristof Research Group of the iASK, historian of literature, philosopher and critic, who recently received this honourable and significant distinction.
