Anikó Magasházi, research fellow and international relations director of the Institute of Advanced Studies held lectures on the week 15-18th of April 2019 at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of the Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj Napoca, Romania.
Her guest lecture titled „Singapore and East Asia, International trade and FDI” was held in Hungarian in the Hungarian Institute of the Faculty within the course of International Economics led by Associate Professor Réka Horváth. She also presented a case study of an international corporation headquartered in East-Asia with manufacturing subsidiaries in Hungary and Romania.
Furthermore, she lectured in English within the course of Market Places led by Associate Professor Ovidiu Moisescu, Deputy Dean, International Relations. Her guest lecture „Science, Technological and Industrial parks, Possibilities and Challenges in Development and Marketing” merged theoretical background with her practical experience in managing the Győr Business Park in Western-Hungary from its very beginning for a decade.
She also presented on 18th April on the „Sociological Days” Event organized by the Department of Sociology and Social Work in Hungarian Language of the university. She was invited to present on the thematic day „Challenges in the World of Changing Work” on the East-Asian Work Culture.
iASK and the Faculty of Sociology and Social Work – through its Department of Sociology and Social Work in Hungarian Language – concluded a Memorandum of Understanding in 2018. In the framework of the cooperation exchange of visits of professors, researchers at international events and guest lectures have taken place in 2018-2019. The Babes-Bolyai University is Romania’s largest university, offering courses in Romanian, Hungarian, English and French language.
