This year we celebrate the 140th anniversary of the birth of one of the most famous Hungarian composer Béla Bartók, a folk music researcher. (Born: March 25, 1881, Nagyszentmiklós)
Károly Binder, a scholarship holder of the music workshop of the Institute of Advanced Studies Kőszeg (iASK), created jazz improvisation transcripts from the folk music collection of the Bartók Children.
The CDs of the 1st and 2nd selections made from this can be purchased at the performance of the Binder trio at our institute: contact@archive.iask.hu
The 3rd selection of jazz adaptations is expected to be completed by the autumn of 2021.
