Ágnes Kovács
Ágnes Kovács defended her doctoral thesis in 2011 at the Doctoral School of Literary Studies of ELTE in the West and the Early Modern period program. Her thesis supervisor was Zoltán Kenyeres. Between 2005 and 2015, she worked as an adjunct professor at the Institute of Aesthetics, Language and Literature at the Savaria University Centre of Aesthetics, Language and Literature of the University of Western Hungary, the predecessor of the ELTE SEK. Research interests: literary theory, contemporary Hungarian literary history, literature, and media. She has also taught at the Teachers’ Training Institute, the Institute of Higher Vocational Education and the Institute of General Health Sciences. In addition to his teaching activities, he was the spokesman of the Rector’s Office of the institution. She has been working in the field of communication since 1999. As a member of the staff of Szombathely Television, she has held various positions. She has been creative director, editor and presenter. She is a regular speaker at national and international conferences and has published in professional journals. In recent years, she has also been working as a journalist, editing and writing for the Weöres Sándor Theatre’s online cultural magazine Ráadás. At the end of 2021, she published a book of essays on the literary history of Cs. Ágnes Kovács, who has published a collection of her literary works in 2021 under the pen name Ágnes Kovács. Her first novel was published in spring 2022 by Kalligram, edited by Júlia Tóth-Czifra Tóth.
