Péter Balogh

Péter Balogh is a linguist. He studied French Language and Literature and General and Applied Linguistics at the Eötvös Loránd University, where he also pursued doctoral studies in Romance Studies. He received his PhD in diachronic semantics in 1999. As a French Government PhD Scholarship grantee, he obtained a DEA (Diplome d’études approfondies) and PhD in synchronic semantics at the Paris 13 University in 2000. He held the positions of associate professor at the Faculty of Humanities of the Eötvös Loránd University and senior lecturer and college professor at the Kodolányi János College. He lectured on Hungarian and French linguistics and Hungarian language for six years at the Paris 3 Sorbonne Nouvelle University. He habilitated in linguistics at the University of Pannonia in 2008.
At the Institute of Advanced Studies, he coordinates scientific research projects and oversees linguistics research. He oversees Hungarian and foreign language teaching at iASK.
