Spring<\/h5>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ne2oqOVLwv4\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><a href=\"http:\/\/archive.iask.hu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Professor-Tamas-Magyarics.pdf\">Lecturer: Tam\u00e1s Magyarics (historian, professor of ELTE)\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Europe was downgraded by the US to some extent after the collapse of the Soviet Union, and it is still considered primarily as a &#8216;junior&#8217; partner in global affairs, especially because of the lack of credible power projection capabilities. Moreover, the common European foreign and security policy is nonexistent for all intents and purposes, and what the Europeans can mostly contribute is only &#8216;soft power&#8217; in world affairs. The early 21st century has seen the rise of a number revisionist powers, first among them being China; the real challenge to US global hegemony has arisen in the Asia-Pacific region (&#8216;pivot\/rebalance to Asia&#8217;).
