Abstract<\/strong><\/p>\n

The article aims at evaluating the role of Russian language in entrepreneurship of post-Soviet immigrants in Hungary. The article offers a brief review of the literature about post-Soviet immigrant entrepreneurship. For better understanding of the role of Russian language in entrepreneurship in Hungary, the general sociological model of social relations is used. The article also describes the waves of Russian-speaking immigrants in Hungary. The results of the analysis are based on the review of content of the Russian-language media in Hungary, and fifteen interviews with post-Soviet immigrant entrepreneurs in Hungary conducted in the period between the fall of 2016 and the spring of 2020. The analysis demonstrates that the Russian-speaking entrepreneurship in Hungary exists mainly in the mixed social sphere, between private and public spheres. In it, depending on the historical period, the cultural capital, in this case, the knowledge of Russian language and culture, partially transforms into the economic capital. In addition to that, the analysis demonstrates, that the degree of the use of Russian language directly depends on the type and the sphere of entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n
