Miszlivetz Aron James
Aron J. Miszlivetz is Deputy Head of Department at the State Secretariat for EU Affairs, Ministry of Justice of Hungary. He is also a researcher at EUStrat. Aron’s main research topics are the EU integration of the Western Balkans, the EU’s relationship with the Eastern Partnership, Common Foreign and Security Policy, Common Security and Defense Policy with a special focus on EU-NATO relations regarding the neighborhood. Aron holds a degree in BA International Studies, East Asia from the University of Leiden and an advanced MA degree from the College of Europe in EU International Relations and Diplomacy studies. A recipient of the European Neighborhood Policy scholarship, Aron wrote an innovative thesis on the EU’s anti-corruption policy in Ukraine’s defense sector. In 2018 he was awarded for the best thesis on anti-corruption at the College of Europe. He is also an honorary citizen of Bruges.
