A n\u00e9gynapos rendezv\u00e9ny a szervezet MOST \u2013 Management of Social Transformations \u2013 programj\u00e1nak t\u00e1mogat\u00e1s\u00e1val val\u00f3sul meg, k\u00f6zponti programja: a k\u00f6rnyezeti v\u00e1ltoz\u00e1sok \u00e9s az azokhoz k\u00f6thet\u0151 t\u00e1rsadalmi folyamatok.<\/p>\n

Az UNESCO MOST t\u00e9li egyetemnek a k\u0151szegi Fels\u0151bbfok\u00fa Tanulm\u00e1nyok Int\u00e9zete (FTI) ad otthont. A rendezv\u00e9ny egyik c\u00e9lja, hogy bemutassa az int\u00e9zet Kreat\u00edv v\u00e1ros \u2013 fenntarthat\u00f3 vid\u00e9k (KRAFT) program innovat\u00edv, region\u00e1lis fejleszt\u00e9si koncepci\u00f3j\u00e1t. Az FTI \u00e1tfog\u00f3 kutat\u00e1si projektje a t\u00f6bbi k\u00f6z\u00f6tt arra mutat r\u00e1, hogy a kultur\u00e1lis \u00f6r\u00f6ks\u00e9g \u00fajszer\u0171 menedzsmentj\u00e9vel hogyan teremthet\u0151 meg a t\u00e1rsadalmi-gazdas\u00e1gi \u00e9s \u00f6kol\u00f3giai fenntarthat\u00f3s\u00e1g, valamint a n\u00f6vekv\u0151 vonzer\u0151 a vid\u00e9ki kisv\u00e1rosokban.<\/p>\n

Intercultural Heritage and the Complexity of Sustainability: A Future-Oriented Central European Approach<\/strong><\/p>\n

MOST Schools are capacity-building activities focused on strengthening competencies for evidence-informed decision-making. They help develop the capacity of researchers and decision-makers to translate knowledge into action. Their primary goal is to support long-term sustainable development in contexts where capacity gaps constrain translating research into action. The central issue this Winter School addresses is the relationship and interaction, between environmental change and social processes, smaller and larger scale social transformations. The MOST Winter School approaches sustainability studies as both a distinctive form of knowledge and a specific approach to mobilizing and applying knowledge. In both respects, the social and human sciences make decisive contributions to an improved understanding of complex systems that are driven inter alia by human beliefs, practices and institutions.<\/p>\n

The main aim of the Winter School is to introduce the results of a large-scale research project on the preservation of cultural heritage implemented by the Institute of Advanced Study K\u0151szeg (IASK) in Hungary. The Creative City – Sustainable Region<\/em> project, <\/em>acronym: KRAFT, <\/em>explores the possibility of exploiting the intercultural heritage of historic towns for better longer-term economic, political, and social conditions. Most of the case studies are from Western Hungary, Macedonia and Slovakia. New perspectives and new methodologies aimed at measuring creativity and sustainability potential will be introduced in differing geographic, ethnic, social and economic conditions. This includes the application of the KRAFT-INDEX <\/em>and the Talking Houses Initiative<\/em>. The latter is an innovative approach to sustainable cultural heritage by retelling local histories. Presentations and workshops will also analyze West European and US experiences in the field. Special attention will be paid to the K\u0151szeg-Manhattan Project<\/em>, a unique form of cooperation between students and professors from the City University of New York and their K\u0151szeg counterparts.<\/p>\n

Most of the reading materials will come from iASK publications and from the works of other UNESCO Chairs in the region.<\/p>\n

Expenses of this MOST School are to be covered by a modest fee, contributions from the Hungarian National Commission for UNESCO, and the cooperating UNESCO Chairs.<\/p>\n
