A M\u0171v\u00e9szetek H\u00e1za a b\u00e9csi Plachnich iskola poszt szecesszi\u00f3s m\u0171alkot\u00e1sa, amely mag\u00e1ban \u0151rzi a b\u00e9csi szecesszi\u00f3 hat\u00e1s\u00e1t \u00e9s egyben a magyar szecesszi\u00f3 jellegzetes von\u00e1sait. A jelenlegi kutat\u00e1sok szerint 1905 k\u00f6r\u00fcl \u00e9p\u00fclt Szemz\u0151 S\u00e1ndor \u00fcgyv\u00e9d megb\u00edz\u00e1s\u00e1b\u00f3l, de a tervez\u0151 szem\u00e9lye egyel\u0151re ismeretlen. Szemz\u0151 izraelita csal\u00e1dba sz\u00fcletett 1876-ban, Budapesten volt \u00fcgyv\u00e9djel\u00f6lt, h\u00e1zass\u00e1gk\u00f6t\u00e9se ut\u00e1n k\u00f6lt\u00f6z\u00f6tt K\u0151szegre, ahol irod\u00e1t nyitott \u00e9s v\u00e1rosi k\u00e9pvisel\u0151k\u00e9nt m\u0171k\u00f6d\u00f6tt. Az els\u0151 vil\u00e1gh\u00e1bor\u00fa idej\u00e9n katonatisztk\u00e9nt szolg\u00e1lt, praxis\u00e1t a h\u00e1bor\u00fa ut\u00e1n \u00e1ttette Szombathelyre. A h\u00e1zat 1921-ben Rem\u00e9nyi Ferenc katonatiszt, utaz\u00f3 v\u00e1s\u00e1rolta meg. Rem\u00e9nyi Ferenc Pesten v\u00e9gezte elemi iskol\u00e1it, majd apja r\u00e1besz\u00e9l\u00e9s\u00e9re 1882-ben beiratkozott a fiumei tenger\u00e9szeti akad\u00e9mi\u00e1ra. 1912\u20131917 k\u00f6z\u00f6tt a Soproni Honv\u00e9d F\u0151re\u00e1l iskola parancsnoka volt, 1914-ben ezredess\u00e9 l\u00e9ptett\u00e9k el\u0151. Kit\u00fcntett\u00e9k a Ferenc J\u00f3zsef rend tiszti keresztj\u00e9vel. 1917 febru\u00e1rj\u00e1ban k\u0151szegi el\u0151n\u00e9vvel IV. K\u00e1rolyt\u00f3l nemess\u00e9get nyert. A minisztertan\u00e1csi jegyz\u0151k\u00f6nyvekb\u0151l tudjuk, hogy a h\u00e1bor\u00fa ut\u00e1n, 1921 m\u00e1rcius\u00e1ban nyugalmazott ezredesk\u00e9nt kinevezt\u00e9k a K\u0151szegi Katonai Alre\u00e1l iskol\u00e1ba. Ekkor vette meg 54,000 korona \u00e9rt\u00e9kben dr. Szemz\u0151 S\u00e1ndor h\u00e1z\u00e1t. A visszavonult egykori tenger\u00e9sz 1940-ben bek\u00f6vetkezett hal\u00e1l\u00e1ig ott lakott. \"\"A m\u00e1sodik vil\u00e1gh\u00e1bor\u00fa ut\u00e1n k\u00fcl\u00f6nb\u00f6z\u0151 funkci\u00f3kban m\u0171k\u00f6d\u00f6tt. Gutowski Robert tervei alapj\u00e1n a Fels\u0151bbfok\u00fa Tanulm\u00e1nyok Int\u00e9zete egyik \u00e9p\u00fcletek\u00e9nt a f\u00f6ldszinti kutat\u00f3szob\u00e1kat \u00e9s irod\u00e1kat az eredeti szob\u00e1k \u00e9s kiszolg\u00e1l\u00f3 helyis\u00e9gek megtart\u00e1s\u00e1val alak\u00edtott\u00e1k ki.
