El\u0151ad\u00e1s\u00e1t New Yorkban tartotta meg, de t\u00f6bb v\u00e1ros oktat\u00e1si \u00e9s kutat\u00f3int\u00e9zet\u00e9ben is hivatalos l\u00e1togat\u00e1st tett <em>dr. Matyasovszky-N\u00e9meth M\u00e1rtonnal<\/em>, a Bib\u00f3 Istv\u00e1n Szakkoll\u00e9gium igazgat\u00f3j\u00e1val. A t\u00f6bb mint egyhetes program c\u00e9lja \u2013 a nemzetk\u00f6zi konferenciar\u00e9szv\u00e9tel mellett \u2013 a kapcsolat\u00e9p\u00edt\u00e9s \u00e9s k\u00f6z\u00f6s projektek, egy\u00fcttm\u0171k\u00f6d\u00e9sek elind\u00edt\u00e1sa az egyes\u00fclt \u00e1llamokb\u00e9li tudom\u00e1nyos \u00e9let k\u00e9pvisel\u0151ivel. Tal\u00e1lkoztak <em>Mary Taylor<\/em>, a City University of New York, Graduate Center, Center for Place, Culture and Politics k\u00f6zpontvezet\u0151-helyettes\u00e9vel, t\u00e1rgyal\u00e1sokat folytattak a Columbia University Harriman Int\u00e9zet\u00e9ben, ahol <em>Valentina Izmirlieva<\/em> professzor, a szl\u00e1v nyelvek \u00e9s a szl\u00e1v irodalom professzora fogadta \u0151ket. Az int\u00e9zet k\u00fcl\u00f6n\u00f6s figyelmet ford\u00edt a kelet-eur\u00f3pai irodalom n\u00e9pszer\u0171s\u00edt\u00e9s\u00e9re. Izmirlieva elmondta, szeretn\u00e9, ha a Harriman Int\u00e9zet t\u00e1mogat\u00e1s\u00e1val \u00e9vente k\u00e9t, a r\u00e9gi\u00f3b\u00f3l sz\u00e1rmaz\u00f3 sz\u00e9pirodalmi k\u00f6tet angol ford\u00edt\u00e1sa jelenhetne meg a Columbia University Press gondoz\u00e1s\u00e1ban. Az iroda nagy \u00e9rdekl\u0151d\u00e9st mutatott az iASK-ISC \u00e9p\u00fcletegy\u00fcttese ir\u00e1nt, tov\u00e1bb\u00e1 \u00fcdv\u00f6z\u00f6lte azt a gondolatot is, hogy az ISC \u00e9p\u00fclete szerves r\u00e9sz\u00e9v\u00e9 v\u00e1lj\u00e9k a KRAFT-koncepci\u00f3ban fel\u00faj\u00edtott \u00e9p\u00fcletegy\u00fcttesnek. Az esem\u00e9nyen egyeztettek M\u00e1rka Szabolccsal, a Columbia University professzor\u00e1val, Charles Vorosmartyval, CUNY Advanced Science Research Center Environmental Sciences Initiative alap\u00edt\u00f3 igazgat\u00f3j\u00e1val, \u00e9s Friedler Ferenccel, a gy\u0151ri Sz\u00e9chenyi Istv\u00e1n Egyetem rektor\u00e1val is. A konferenci\u00e1t a New York University Langdone Health Center el\u0151ad\u00f3term\u00e9ben tartott\u00e1k. A r\u00e9sztvev\u0151k els\u0151sorban Neumann J\u00e1nos munk\u00e1ss\u00e1g\u00e1nak a tudom\u00e1nyos kutat\u00e1sokra gyakorolt pozit\u00edv hat\u00e1s\u00e1r\u00f3l \u00e9rtekeztek. Kiv\u00e9telt jelentett a Miszlivetz Ferenc \u00e1ltal kezdem\u00e9nyezett <em>Can We Survive Technology?<\/em> c\u00edm\u0171 kerekasztal-besz\u00e9lget\u00e9s, amelynek levezet\u0151 eln\u00f6ke: Charles Vorosmarty volt, \u00e9s Miszlivetz professzoron k\u00edv\u00fcl r\u00e9szt vett tov\u00e1bb\u00e1: Feh\u00e9r Katalin, az NKE tudom\u00e1nyfiloz\u00f3fi\u00e1val foglalkoz\u00f3 kutat\u00f3ja, Maliga P\u00e1l, a Rutgers Egyetem n\u00f6v\u00e9nygenetika professzora \u00e9s S\u00e1gv\u00e1ri Bence szociol\u00f3gus, az Indiana University vend\u00e9gkutat\u00f3ja.
